2020 Economic Education Summer Intern

The Economic Education Internship seeks to educate a select undergraduate or graduate student on best practices in the Economic Education field and to provide opportunities to develop outreach programs integrating economics and personal finance with STEM education fields.  The student will gain hands on experience by working with the Economic Education Department (Louisville) as it works to improve economic literacy by providing high-quality economic information for the public and educational resources and programs for educators. The selected intern will play a role in research, curriculum development, and/or outreach. We partner our interns with employees for direct mentorship. This is an engaging and highly rewarding internship that will provide the selected candidate with a truly unique experience.

This is a 40 hour per week paid internship lasting 10 weeks during the summer of 2020. Internships begin the end of May and run through mid-August. The Internship is located in the Louisville, KY office.


We are interested in students who possess the following:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • A solid work ethic and a strong motivation to learn and teach.
  • Students majoring in Economics, Finance, Mathematics and Statistics, Economics/Business Education or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Education are preferred.  Other majors will be considered as long as they have a solid foundation in economics.
  • A superior academic record.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Comfortable with public speaking.
