The Corporate Accounting department has an immediate opening for an Advanced Financial Consultant (Advanced Financial Analyst).  While working on a team with other financial analyst, the successful candidate uses a consultative approach to deliver research and analysis of data and problems of varying complexity to provide financial management services and develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to financial operations; provides guidance in identifying, evaluating, and developing financial processes and procedures that are effective and meet requirements; plans and executes solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues, and management; participates in cross-functional linked teams to address financial or system issues; and determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Contributes to the development of long-range financial goals and the implementation of solutions and process improvement strategies involving financial analysis.
  • Conducts significantly complex research and analyses, monitoring the overall financial performance and risk environment of a function, the Bank, vendors, or organizing institutions.
  • Develops significantly complex spreadsheets and programs; prepares and reviews analytical data including financial models to inform and influence senior management decision making.
  • Provides strategic financial consultation and thought leadership in completing analysis, information or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related areas.
  • Leads development and design of new financial processes of a major and critical nature and the updating of existing financial processes.
  • Directs, coordinates, and provides leadership support to cross-functional project teams as necessary.

*** The hiring range for position $88,200 -$110,200 annually.

*** Salary and position title offered will be based on job responsibilities and individual’s knowledge,   skills and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 9+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical ability.
  • Acute attention to detail with a high degree of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information and/or instruction to key stakeholders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, including Federal Reserve System staff.
  • Broad and deep technical knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply Planning and Control System (PACS) and Financial Accounting Manual (FAM) guidelines.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with various other online applications as needed for the role.
