The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is looking for an IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) Specialist to join our team and to be responsible for fostering dialogue and facilitating collaboration between multiple stakeholder and technical experts, while applying broad thinking across our IT portfolio. The IT BRM Specialist will work to continue building and maintaining relationships with our business partners and operate as the voice of the customer to assure business value alignment.

  • Builds and maintains long-term, strategic relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Owns and drives IT demand shaping activities with our business partners through a deep understanding of business strategies, goals and objectives, as well as technical needs.
  • Exhibits full understanding of IT portfolio, emerging technology trends and provides high value IT consultation to business partners.
  • Acts internally to IT as the voice of the business, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, new products or new services as needed.
  • Collects and understands business justifications for new demand and collaborates with technical teams, developers, business analysts, UX and internal service providers to make certain a close alignment of outcomes with pre-defined business value. Acts as business analyst to provide supporting data associated with scoping and/or determining technical solutions.
  • Coordinates with service providers throughout our organization to communicate, influence, share requirements, and ensure successful implementation of enterprise initiatives.
  • Makes use of research, industry best practices, metrics and analysis to understand trends. Reports on performance, statuses of work, and value contribution of IT activities. Owns and manages BRM-related documentation.
  • Gathers business partner feedback and performs in-depth analysis of operational performance, satisfaction, etc. to influence relationship needs and direction; shares with senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience (e.g., business or customer relationship management, or IT business analysis, preferred)
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) certification and/or experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect relevant technologies as potential solutions to business problems using practical and efficient methods.
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style and be able to effectively share technical ideas and approaches with others.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated person able to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking (analysis, identification, solution) skills.
  • Software development process and/or technical software experience.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship and customer experience skills.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower job grade and/or salary.
  • Travel (10%)
