The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has a great opportunity for a high energy, motivated, resourceful, innovative, and proactive Financial Analyst supporting the Strategy + People Group. In this role, you will lead the financial planning and analysis of the Groups’ budget, oversee contract procurement and invoicing, manage ad hoc projects, and provide additional administrative support. You will work closely with the Groups’ business leaders, managers and subject matter experts to enable the accomplishment of Group goals, while also ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting and procurement guidelines.

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop the Strategy + People annual budget
  • Monitor expenses, ensure compliance with Bank accounting guidelines, and prepare monthly variance reports/forecasts for Senior Leadership
  • Perform analysis related to financial performance
  • Support Strategy + People in procuring new or extending existing contracts (e.g. lead the requisition process, draft scope of work, prepare miscellaneous documents, etc.) in accordance with applicable policies
  • Monitor and approve invoices for payment according to Federal Reserve Accounting guidelines
  • Manage projects in line with Group goals
  • Provide administrative support to the Strategy, Risk + Analytics team
 
Skills and Competencies:
  • Critical thinking, including analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate complex issues;
  • Proficiency with financial modeling tools particularly Microsoft Excel;
  • Collaboration skills and commitment to the OneBank Behaviors, with an ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals;
  • Influence skills, including excellent written, speaking, and presentation skills, and the ability to talk to and reach a range of people and audiences across and outside of the business function;
  • Project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple efforts simultaneously amongst changing priorities and deadlines; experience in facilitating project meetings with key business partners, and developing action items and meeting summaries;
  • Business acumen, with a proven ability to evaluate the costs, risks, and benefits associated with alternative actions before making decisions; and
  • The highest levels of personal and professional integrity at all times.
