Education & Experience:

  • 3 to 5+ years (5 to 9+ years at the Senior level) of relevant work experience
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred at the Senior level    
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) at the Senior level

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of payroll processing operations
  • Thorough knowledge of a District’s payroll policies and procedures
  • Strict attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of tax, compliance, audit, and information security requirements related to payroll
    Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Automated Payroll System
