Position Summary:

Develops strategies to meet the needs of retail payments customers. Viewed as a product and pricing development subject matter expert, directly influencing and overseeing the planning and development of retail payments services. Provides project leadership and expertise in business processes and strategic fit of new and enhanced products. Provides expertise to industry groups and support efforts to train and speak to the industry and/or Reserve Banks regarding Retail Payments Services and remains current on industry issues and trends.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategies to meet the needs of retail payments customers. Responsible for the development and research for new and enhanced product ideas. Oversees the planning and development of new retail payments services, including the development of business cases and requirements, and proposals. Coordinates with internal and external resources for the planning, development, approval and implementation of new products or enhancements to existing products.
  • Utilizes a formalized and disciplined approach to pricing new and existing products based on examination of formal policies, the value offered and competitive alternatives available to customers.
  • Represents RPO direction with other Product Offices, Customer Relations and Support Office, System Leadership Teams, and Board staff when identifying, socializing, proposing and coordinating new product and/or pricing opportunities. Supports and advises regarding analytical work, modeling and decision-making for product and pricing initiatives.
  • Provides project leadership and expertise in business processes and strategic fit of new and enhanced products. Formulates project scope and road-map. Develops product proposals and oversees development of business requirements and execution of overall project plans. Communicates project progress, findings, output and deployment plans.
  • Provides expertise for new and existing products to support sales, marketing, industry inquires, regulatory inquires, NACHA workgroups, and industry events as required. Leads and/or supports efforts to educate, train and speak to the industry and/or Reserve Banks regarding various retail payments services, topics and initiatives.
  • Continuously seeks insights into the banking industry and regulatory environment through industry publications, reports, work groups and committees and development and training. Remains knowledgeable of industry issues and trends in order to lead and influence the collaboration and coordination of activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with staff throughout the RPO, System Product and Support Offices, Board and other key industry stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

  • Eight or more years preferred
