We offer paid, full-time summer internships for many majors, with fulfilling work and opportunities to grow. To help launch your career, we provide dedicated staff mentors. You’ll also learn from senior leaders and industry experts. As part of the Federal Reserve System, you’ll be connected to a professional network that spans the nation. You will begin in early June and will be based in the Dallas office.

Digital Design is an integral part of the Communications & Outreach Department’s Digital and External Communications group at the Dallas Fed. The team provides visual design for a variety of media and marketing materials, including web, social media, print publications, event collateral, video and animation. Digital Design supports the Bank’s communications efforts to inform, engage and build relationships with the public and employees.

  • Assist digital designers with projects including events, branding, marketing, web graphics and production design
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to support campaigns and conferences
  • Act as lead designer for internal projects and interact with clients to pitch design concepts
  • Occasionally assist with layout of routine publications under tight deadlines, including creating charts and tables
  • Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a graphic design or emerging technology program
  • Coursework or experience in communications and/or graphic design
  • Must have a well-designed portfolio and resume
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and InDesign).
  • Demonstrated creative project execution in variety of media (portfolio required)
  • Social Media savvy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Mac OS
  • Demonstrated creative project execution in variety of media (portfolio required)
  • Creative mindset with a positive attitude
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required


Employment is contingent upon the selected candidate passing a background check and drug screen. Candidates will be required to submit at least three references and submit fingerprints prior to employment.
